The Cheap Single Pushchair Success Story You'll Never Be Able To

Cheap Single Pushchairs

The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a excellent choice if you're on a tight budget and don't need an extra stroller that can be used as a car seat carrier. It comes with a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop comfortable.

It's also easy to push and feels solid in navigating kerbs or woodland paths. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1.  pushchairsandprams  has earned itself a reputation as the most stroller that is light, ideal for urban dwellers as well for jet-setters. This is due to its super nimble maneuverability and fold that fits into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The latest version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels made from Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate across all types of surfaces and terrain'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and the 6+ month color pack combine to create a stylish pushchair that's easy on the eye with a subtle yet elegant design and stylish branding. The frame's weight is less than a kilo, and is so lightweight that you can lift it out of the box with just one hand.

It's also easy to add or remove attachments, adaptors, or adaptors such as the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks - as well as being machine washable to help deter stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram right from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a stroller from 6 months using the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents seeking an adaptable stroller. It can be converted from a stroller into a wagon by simply turning the handle, so parents can choose the option they want to use on their adventure. The wagon can accommodate two or more children between 6 months to five years old. It has a large storage basket that can accommodate everything you need while on the go.

The Xplore has two canopies that are able to rotate from front to back, ensuring adequate sun protection for the entire family. It also has a footwell that's not as large or deep as some wagons, so it may not be ideal for longer trips or napping.

The frame on the Xplore feels sturdy and solid but it doesn't have the same flexibility as other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the other models and it doesn't secure when folded. It is easy to move, though, and it can be able to fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents looking for a secondary stroller that's affordable. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and size folded, which means it's very lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to put into a car trunk or closet. It also comes with a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as a cup holder for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.

In our test of push and turn it performed better than many of the other cheap strollers we tried, but it's not the most maneuverable on uneven terrain or through narrow doorways. Its sunshades were among the tiniest of strollers we test. They only cover the top and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger canopy sizes.

It took us under three minutes to put together the Delta with a manual. None of the parts required tools. It is missing certain features we consider essential in a double stroller. These include an extra-large basket, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair and is marketed as a travel system for urban use. It can be used from birth to around 3.5-years-old. The seat and carrycot can be converted easily with just a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base, and a reversible car.

The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. Although it is a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps well and was able to pass through doorways without any fuss.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward-facing position and can also pivot. This is helpful in rough terrain. On our walk on the stony path, we allowed them to swivel and it did this quite well, although it seemed slightly bumpier than other models on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is famous for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain jogging pushchairs, but they also offer a great range of 4-wheeler strollers. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is simple to use and folds up small enough to fit into a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers we've tried, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels solid and well-made. It is easy to maneuver across various terrains and even with two kids with shopping bags and other items.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that are able to be lower to reveal a UV50and sun canopy extension. They are sturdy and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space but it has a large basket deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or plenty of groceries. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to use a stroller on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first rolled onto the scene, it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It's a stroller made of aluminum that can be used from the infant's first days until. It is a standout model with many unique features, such as the ability of the seat to be flipped between parent and world facing and a huge UPF50+ canopy with an eye-shade that flips out, as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with a suspension system built-in that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed from tough foam and minimise punctures. Our test driver found it easy to push and was able to maneuver it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It folds down in four easy steps and automatically locks without hassle. It can also be folded and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs, or in the car's boot. The travel system is included with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors included. The brakes come with only one action and are colour coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This single pushchair that is budget-friendly is extremely easy to use and features great dual suspension, one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also super lightweight and sturdy. The seat can be reclined in several positions. It has a built-in double breathable mattress that's suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best as it’s not as quiet as Velcro and could awaken napping babies.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be set up to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even can be used with carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can face one another or turn around and face their parents, potentially cutting down on sibling disputes over who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a big tray for gears, a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger designed for parents who want to keep active. It's one of the lightest running strollers you can get for your child. It comes with great safety features like a 5-point harness and safety wrist strap. It also comes with an innovative twist hand brake that's different than the lever type found on competing models.

The seat is padded and provides plenty of space to sit. However the seat's isn't as deep as those of other joggers (it's just 10 inches deep") The storage bin is secured with a zipper to keep things secure. It can hold up to 10 pounds, which is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters for most bassinets and infant car seats, but you can use them from the first day with adapters that will fit brands such as BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It is easy to fold and assemble within 5-10 minutes, without tools. The instruction manual is simple to understand and comes in a variety of languages.
